    dungeons&dragons

At dusk, even when the sun is down, the Solaris Institute gleams with progress and positivity.

I play Dungeons & Dragons casually with my friends in Media.Monks. It’s been about two years of meeting up after work, slaying Indonesian dragons, guessing the riddles of a centaur and tons of other stories.
In this round’s D&D, our dungeon master crafted a world so detailed that even we, the players, were inspired to flesh out our characters’ stories with more depth.
I wanted to put my character’s narrative alongside the explorations with midjourney into my portfolio, because I feel it’s still in line with what creativity, writing and storytelling is all about.
The challenge (and fascination) with midjourney is that it’s more of a trial and error—you never know what’s going to be generated!

    about my character

Basically building the backbone of my characterl, Syrus Silverhand, from birth to the present here, his values, his bionic arm, things he loves doing... Everything written to fit in with the world that my dungeon master has planned out.

I built my character’s background based on the solarpunk city that he’s from, archetyping his personality through the city’s six sectors.
Artificer prowess from Forge, armour class efficiencies from Ward, ergonomics and planning from Prism, obsession with progress and discovery from Seek, druidic affinity with plants from Bloom, and radiant energy type from Ray.

    the present

This part is about forming the starting point of where my character is at present aka our party’s starting point: in the city of Dawnhaven.
It’s how my character found a new calling, devising ways on bringing accessible clean energy to the city through a newfound crystal.
